Shipping Help

Hey RX-7 geniuses...
Hopefully somebody can help... I am about to purchase a 1993 Efini RX-7 (RHD) car. I am currently in Korea and want to take it with me. I was told it's easy to ship, but I want to make sure I can get it registered in the states. According to its documentation its a 1989 (something they did in Japan), somebody told me its a classic and will be no problem.
Is there a shop somebody might know of that can switch it over or modify it so its legal to register?

Thanks....

US Soldier

Doubtful its going to happen. The import laws have changed. You might be able to get the car into the USA on a temporary basis using your military status, but not a permanent basis.

There used to be a clause where military personnel who had been stationed overseas for a few years, could bring back a vehicle for a short time. Basically, just enough time to find a vehicle here in the USA was what it was for...

However, I don't know if that clause is still valid as the import laws have significantly changed over the last year or two. Trying to get the car here, legally, forever just ain't going to happen.
