seals... and thier cost...
i got a smoking engine that i suspect is a bad rubbers in the motor as the thing does have 200000+ miles...
i was wondering where you think that i could get a rebuild or something that i could throw into the damn thing or rebuild... i am trying to do this on the cheap... would cracking open the motor and maybe just those seals being the only problem and replacing those be the best option? or would just trying to get a used motor that has about 50,000 miles on it be an option? a pointer in the right direction would be nice... thanks |
Ummm.... what kind of car? You can get used engines fairly cheap. Rebuilds, not so much with being cheap.
Try the For Sale Section... or your regional forum to find a local shop... |
If your going to crack open the engine you might as well rebuild the entire thing. If I were to replace an engine I would only do it with an engine that has less than 30K on it.
