s4 going holley carb, need help

Im almost finish exept for the ignition. I want to stay with the cas since its better. But idk how to wire it. Do i need sensors anywere what do i need beside the leading trailing amd igniters. Im trying to keep it bare motor. The car was a shell so it doesnt have anything but i didget a ecu just in case. I have bin looking around and every one has diffrent comments and wich is better, most from ppl they know. So any help is good.

i'm thinking you're either going to have to run a distributor or get a computer that runs ignition only. i don't claim to be too savvy with the factory ECU, but it will probably be looking for the AFM and TPS before it will actually control timing. with a carburetor in place, i don't see it working for you.

Thats right i forgot about that. Well i guess ill go with the FB dizzy. Till i get a msd. I just need the car running as soon it can. Any other thing i should think about?

Go direct fire on the leading coil/coils. Dont bother running leading through the cap.

What would be the difference by doing this method? Less wiring or does it run smoother?

a little more wiring and fabrication. 99% of those that have done it, report smoother operation and power production.

search in the Gen I section for details.

Like Diabolical1 said. Smoother power, easier startup, it felt better to drive, maybe more power.

Its been over a decade since i had done this, but i vaguely recall running a S4 leading wastebatch coil off of one j109 ignitor. I could be wrong.

Hey so does anyone know were i can hook up the OMP lines. Do i tap the carb spacer? Or is there a inlet i can use on the carb?

lostFC 07-22-14 10:58 PM

Just premix. Avoid the uncertainty.

If your daily driving it 1/2oz of oil to a gallon of gas.

Aka, 16 gallon tank takes 8 oz. of oil
