RX8 Clutch Pedal Stop Pad?

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, I have an 09 RX8 R3, and I noticed that when I step on the clutch all the way it makes a thud sound and I can see that there's no stop pad on the floor/firewall and there's no piece of rubber on the back of the pedal where it comes into contact with the floor/firewall. Am I missing a part down there?

The clutch pedal assembly isn't broken. See the pic for what I'm talking about. You see the back of the pedal?...well when you depress the clutch all the way, that piece that's jutting out touches the firewall/wall and there is no pad or anything that absorbs the energy hence making a thud. On Hondas there's a rubber stop pad on the wall just to absorb the clutch pedal's energy. Again, I was just wondering if there's anything that's supposed to be in my car.

Thanks!

I guess maybe I'm mashing the clutch pedal too hard then. I only noticed it when my very helpful passengers asked me about that sound. Now I can't stop hearing it. :(
