racing beat did it and said it wasnt worth the effort considering how much power can come from a miata with a big single turbo. Heck one single turbo here on a stock miata engine is supposed to run 11's. Anyway here is some info for you:
http://www.cochran-racing.com/rotarymiata/index.htm (probably the best source of info) http://www.mazsport.net/html/rotary_conv_parts.htm (they sell kits) https://www.rx7club.com/old-school-other-rotary-63/mazsport-rotary-miata-conversion-kit-263008-printthread/ (from this site) http://cp_www.tripod.com/rotary/pg14.htm that should be enough to get started :D |
hey thanx, well apparently if i wanna buy a kit,is gunna cost me 15k...ill stick with an rx7..i could get a much better car for 15k invested into it.well that was worthless

I saw one at the Rspeed (performance shop for miatas and minis) open house yester day. It was so cool, so loud, and did I mention that it had 300 bhp.
It was an 89 Turbo II engine transmission and diff. just bolted in with alittle cutting. Which I think he said that the mazsport kit comes with one that is precut. He also said that the miata drivetrain is strong enough and it can just bolt to a 13b engine (NA of course). His car had about $15k in it and took 1 yr to do, it was mazsports first wankel miata. It acually lightened the miata by 35 Lbs (which is acually alot for a 2100 Lb car). If the stupid boinger (reciprocating engine) in my miata right know dies I will put a 13b in the car. |
