Rotor question
A quick question here.
Can I use diff rotors from 2 diff motors but same year. Are the rotors balanced seperately or as a complete set. I am going to build a 13b streetport with new rotor housings and dont want any chance of messing it up. Thanks Aaron |
Theres a letter designation I believe near the oil seals that is used for weight balancing, ideally get 2 of the same rotor letters. do a quick search and youll find more info
but beyond that you should use rotors from the same kind of motor say for example S5 Tii for both rotors rather than one S5 Tii and one S4 NA, because of different compression ratios and other lil design details. |
No more then 2 letters off. For instance you can run A rotor with a C rotor but you cannot run an A rotor with D rotor. You should never mix compression rotors such as 8.5 and 9.1.
FeeJ the difference is compression and weight between series and force inductions. |
Match the letters or one letter off, not 2. That is per every reputable rebuild source, video, or book I have ever seen or read.

Errf thought it might have been one :-/
