Red Line watter wetter...Am I doomed?

I've been out of the game for quite sometime. I have a S5 TII that has a fresh 13B-RE. However my car has been on jack stands now for 2 years since the rebuild, with Red Line water wetter a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water. So needless to say when I heard about Red Line watter wetter corroding coolant seals, my heart sunk, and I'm very worried. I have drained the coolant, however the car has been sitting for the past 2 years.

So am I doomed?

I've literally been in the same situation with JUST distilled water and WaterWetter. I noticed no discrepancies in the cooling system upon rebuild. Would love to understand where the thoughts of WatterWetter corroding anything came from. For that matter, how would it corrode (rubber, viton) seals?

Also, hope should spring eternal! ;-)

My last car did not show any signs or corrosion on coolant seals on the tear down. I think you'll be ok. Been using royal purple ice vs water wetter on the V8 and in my ultra technical garage testing..it cooled it at idle 4 degrees more. Not sure about royal purple on coolant seals but can't imagine it being corrosive.

Well, good to know I guess. Carlos Iglesias, how long did you go on your motor before you tore it down to examine? I'm def. switching to Royal Purple Ice when I get her back on the road. I don't care what anybody says, these coolant additives really do work. The Red Line water wetter cooled my operation temperature by 10 degrees, however it's not worth the risk.

Anyways, thanks for your guy's input it defiantly put me at ease a little bit.

No signs of corrosion on my engine when I tore it down last summer. Use Water Wetter all the time.
