--------- rebuild gone bad?? ---------
Hi guys
I'm currently having a big problem with my car and I was wondering if I can get help from this site Ok here it goes: After the full engine rebuild, the engine was ok... and the car was left in the garage for 3 months due to work, with quick warm up once a week. Came back and went out with my car and........... well.......... - fuel was too rich with rough ideling - having trouble with starting (had to put on gas all the time to maintain engine running until it gets hot) - boost gauge rattles like there is no tomorrow (it becomes ok when it hits between 3,000 - 4500rpm). - after the warm up, back firing when it goes under 2,500rpm. - engine timing isn't right.... it's ideling at 1,800rpm!! (what is normal? I heard that it's normally 800rpm or it can go up to 1,500rpm?? The machanic have told me that the engine needs to be run in for 1,000k's and get it fine tuned, but this is too much! Now I don't even have any power with the car... think the engine is getting flooded? It goes like a VW Beetle at the begining and can't go over 3,000rpm. I'm kinda newbi with rotary engines... Anyone have a solution for this? The car is now just sitting in the garage... Any help or advise would greatly appreciated. My idea of solution is: 1. MAP sensor? 2. Leaky injectors? 3. Boost gauge faulty? 4. Vaccum leak? 5. Engine timing? 6. ECU? Modifications done: fully rebuilt with 3mm apex seals stage 2 porting Blitz intercooler Knight Sport ECU BOV Turbonetics turbo upgrade (don't know the spec) |
start with timing if u know its off, shange the plugs, look for vac leaks

Why are you bitching to us about this?
Shouldn't you be complaining to your mechanic / shop that did all the work? -Ted |
