Rear oil seal Question. For the experts.
My new UBER motor has a brown oil seal at the rear stationary gear by the flywheel installed by the engine builder.
My old engine has an orange seal. Also the new brown oil seal was installed further into the engine showing more shiny exposure of the rear counterweight when installed compared to the old engine. Is this ok? Will this cause rust or problems using this counter weight in the future if installed with an orange seal and cause excessive wear? Not even sure this make sense but it makes sense to me... |
It sounds to me like your engine builder put the number on you, your motor is garbage.
Actually it sounds like he installed an RX8 rear stationary gear which uses a brown oil seal. Its fine. |
