re vs rew rotors

Is there a difference between re and rew rotors?

I know that the s5 t2 and rew rotors are the same weight and comp. But my understanding is that the rew rotors are hardened at the apex seal groove.

Is that correct?

Are the re rotors identicle to the rew rotors?

13bt REW is the FD engine, it is also twin turboed. Im guessing RE is just a 13BT

Correction 13BRE is the cosmo engine and the REW is the FD

It's all basically the same.
The 13B-REW rotor is supposed to run a deeper rotor bearing groove.
The weights and compression are all the same.
The machining tolerance is supposed to be tighter for the 13B-REW rotor (i.e. machined tubs and faces), but there's a lot of inconsistences with Mazda production on this one.

From my observation all post-FC turbo rotaries have identical rotors.

The REW rotors are hardened on the apex seal tips. They also have been factory clearanced on the sides of the faces. The casting however on the inside is even worse than the S5 rotors and RE rotors (same thing, as you have found.)
