Quick Q about side seal and springs
 

Putting my side seals and springs in. The springs have a dab of white painted on them. The Haynes doesnt say if these go down facing the rotor, or up facing the seal. Which way they go???? :)

Sorry can't asnwer that but I believe the color is only there to discern what type of spring it is, although I could be wrong. When I pulled my springs I didn't notice any difference in how they would go in. FC3S.ORG has an FSM online that you could check.

i believe it is up. however i do know that the ends of the spring face the rotor and not the side seal. like this:
