Questions to get my FD running again

Hi all,

It's been nearly 7 years since I last started my FD. Before it went under hibernation, i got a single turbo conversion/bridge port/tec 3..and many other brand spanking new mods from PFS. Now my question is (i am completely lost as to where to even begin) what do I need to check/replace in order to start her back up ?? oil, transmission fluid, coolent, brake fluid, battery, spark plug ??

Or do you think its best to take it to PFS and have them do their magic ?

Check this site, specifically the "Removing from storage" part:

After you get things running, I would do a coolant flush and an oil change. Make sure to have some fresh spark plugs on handy as well as a battery charger. I might also suggest squirting some ATF or MMO in the rotor chambers to help pre-lubricate the seals.

Thanks for the link.

Do you think it's safe to try to start the car w/o changing the fluids first ?> I was thinking I should change out all the fluids before I even attempt to start it.

I also checked under the hood, and everything seems okay other than my polished pipings needs to be polished again.

Oh and here she is before the hibernation. i took out the Sparco seats and put in the Brides low-max bucket seats today

IMO, the main concerns for me would be:

1. Stuck apex seals/springs
2. Corrosion in the coolant passages
3. Moisture in the oil system

The last two aren't going to be a big deal just to get the car started. Obviously you'll want to change those before you start driving it a lot but just to get it started shouldn't matter a whole lot.

moisture in the fuel system would trouble my mind, mahjik pretty much covered the rest.

i say change it all. your going to want to do it before you drive it. So y not do it now.

Thanks guys. I've decided to take my car up to PFS to be on the safe side. While in there, i'm going try to get some other work done along with dyno tuning. So as soon as I finish restoring my interior, I'm heading up to Fredrick MD.
