problem fixed info and questions

if anyone remembers the guy with the 88 gxl that with a fresh rebuild that couldnt get it started well that was me. anyways after all your help and suggestions i.e. tsp, maf, vac leak, compression, and so much more ideas it ended up being none of the great ideas i came across...

instead it was as simple as bad ecu ground. so i tap into the harness and grounded the four wires and like magic its perfect but i have some other questions....

where exactly should a mild port n/a no AC, No power steering, idle at?

when i rev the engine should my lower radiator tube (that goes from the rad. to the water pump) collapse? seemed odd and could that be a sign of something else bad ....note im running really hot i think this is why.

brand new rebuild should it be less powerful at first?

and last question how can i check to see if my oil injectors are working?

thank you all who helped me through this dark 3 months.....

If its a mild port, it probably won't be much different from stock as far as idle goes.

A brand new rebuild is likely to be lower in compression as it takes a while for the seals to match the grooves in the housings, assuming you installed used housings.

Make sure your OMP lines are filled with oil.

Check your thermostat.
the bottom rad hose should not collapse,Period.
IF the thermostat is Either A): installed upside down,or B); stuck.it will make the engine run HOT.
..now if the above is OK,then I would be looking at the Compression of that rebuild. You could have made an error on assembly.
