Pressure sensor error code, but not the pressure sensor???

The Car - S5 N/A Vert, automatic



The symptoms - Heavy acceleration (and sometimes cruising), engine cuts out in some sort of electrical cut off manner intermittently. Pretty sure its not air or fuel related.



Tested for error code, indicated faulty pressure sensor. To check, swapped pressure sensor from another S5 that has never given a problem. But, same cut off symptom. So, tried a third pressure sensor from a S5 that has never given a problem. Still same cut off symptom.



Worked fine before taken to a body shop where, among other things, it sat for a very very long time. So, perhaps something in the vacuum or electrical connections to the sensor??



Help - Any suggestions out there??????? Otherwise, I'm thinking a Rotary Mechanic that is also a catholic priest!!!!

It's the electrical wiring or connection, not the sensor itself.

So, you don't think it might have to do with the tube running from the sensor to the intake, or where the tub connects to the intake?

Clearly it's something to do with how the engine is talking to the sensor, or how the sensor is talking to the ECU.

No, that should not trigger an error code if something is wrong with the tube.
The only thing that can trigger an error code at the ECU is either the sensor is internally screwed or wiring harness is bad.
