Power Steering rack and pinion?

My power steering fluid has been pouring out for some time now. It will keep the fluid for a while then just out of nowhere, usually parked somewhere, every bit of the fluid poors out. I first replaced the powersteering pump, and it still happens. So I did alittle inspection, and found it to be the "Rack and pinion" on the passenger side. The boot is covered with fluid, and it is leaking out from the inside of the boot. From what I hear it is better to replace the Rack and Pinion than to replace the seals. What would you guys recommend? Also when I call to get the parts what should I look far? It is called the drivers side rack and pinion? Or hopefully a rebuild kit? When I looked at MazdaTrix the Steering Rack was over $1000 which is alittle more than I want to spend on an '86. I do have a junk '88 which the rack looks good, maybe that will be my best choice. Thanks for the help, and for reading my long message. 8^)

Go to the salvage yard, get the rack. and put it on. I have done both these options on diferent cars and I can tel you to jut get the rack. It takes about two hours if you know what you are doing.

Cool, great. I've got the rack on my junk 88. That should save me some cash. Also, I just priced one locally and it is only $300. The engine is out of the junk car so I should be able to see what is going on. Thanks
