Poor acceleration on high RPMs

Hey guys I have a little problem. My car 1990 turbo 2 (all stock) has acceleration problems after like 5000 RPM. It does accelerate smoothly all the way through 7000 but after 5000 power starts to decrease and at 5500 rpm acceleration so week that it is better to switch to next gear so it would accelerate faster. Any ideas what would be casing this? My Idle is set correctly and timing for leading and trailing spark plugs is correct. Also my boost does not decrease so I know there is plenty of fuel/air mixture coming in. May be it is normal for stock S5?

Do a little digging and make sure that both sets of throttle plates are opening all the way. . Just open your primary throttle all the way and look and see it both sets of plates for the secondary are opening. Its possible the outboard set of secondary plates are hanging up. Just a thought.
