Polishing queshtion

I have my UIM off right now from my FC. Well as you know it is a very porse aluminum. Just wondering what you all used to get it smooth and polished to a mirror finish.

So umm what tools and paste and methods did you use?

Well, I did not do mine completely, but I know you start off with a large grid sandingpaper and go on until you are as smooth as possible, in the meantime remove all small puts and holes because this will get ugly when you start polishing.

Than you have to take the buffing compound to start buffing it, remember more pressure is more bling bling. After that you take a clean polishing wheel to polish excessive material off.

I believe thats a bit how you should do it. However be prepared to spent loads of time on it otherwise it wont become as how you have wanted it. Also you need to buy a shitload of polishing wheels and paste which can become expensive.

Try looking on the forum for a good writeup and calculate how long it would take if you do it and what it would cost when someone else would do it.

Regards
Rogier

I had mine ceramic coated. Super shiny. and super easy to clean. Not to mention the fact that you can grab with your hand because it never gets hot enough to burn.
