?over heat during a smogż

I am trying to get my 94 fd3s to pass smog in California.:banghead: goodluck to me
They have those new dyno smog testing machines and when I tried to it got part of the way through the test before the testing guy aborted the test because the overheat light came on. The guy had a big fan pointed directly at the engine. I wonder if pointing the fan more towards the oil cooler under the head lights would work.

I had the car on the highway for about 10 minutes before the test.
some specs:
after market radiator with twin fans (temperature controlled)
new(ish) 13b <1k miles
battery has been moved to the back

I was think flushing the radiator from what ever has been sitting in there for the past 8 months would help. I would use only filtered water because San Diego's water is full of minerals (at least where I live)

:Wconfused Is there any more input the community could offer?

If you are still on the stock ECU, then that sensor is sensing the heat near the main cat. It's possible that your main cat could be clogged and/or failing.

If you have the PFC, I believe the PFC might use the overheat light as a check engine light.
