OMP functioning? (serched)
I've searched on this shitty question w/o luck, but hopefully there is a simple answer from a knowledgeable guru...
Since my engine was rebuilt utilizing an AEM EMS, I am convinced that the OMP is not functioning properly because I haven't had to add very much oil (before oil change) even after significant mileage. Is there a simple way to check the functionality of the OMP? Thanks in advance for tolerating a novice question! Edit: Oh for fuck's sake, I misspelled "serched" :banghead: |

Edit: Oh for fuck's sake, I misspelled "serched" :banghead: put the car front on stands get underneath , and remove the rubber bung from under the OMP with key on ( OEM ECU may need to see the engine running ) have somebody operate the throttle , whilst someone vies a torch up that bung hole - the lever movement will be visible at one end of the stroke ( minimal flow ) and should move out of view with more TPS if wired up correctly with most TPS type controlled ECU's else you can always remove a banjo bolt down at the OMP and count the flow at 2000 rpm ( and repeat with the wide TPS disconnected from side of TB and at full stroke ) and compare to see if operation is back to front or fixed |
I will look into it, thanks!
