Oil pressure at 60psi after oil change and oil pan gasket , is this normal ?
I did a oil change on my 89 FC t2 and i also replaced my oil pan gasket because it was leaking . After the gasket was replaced and oil change was done I turned the car on and my oil pressure on my gauge was at 60psi at idle I would rev it and the oil pressure would climb slowly . Before the work was done on it when I would turn the car on and drive it around the oil pressure gauge would read 25psi at idle and when I would drive it , it wouldn't go past 60psi. I was told that the reason why my oil pressure is at 60 psi is because of the oil filter . But I've done oil changes before and used the same brand filter and I never had this problem . Is this something I should worry about or is it normal thing ?

Did you change oil weights?
Check the connection around the oil sender. Perhaps you bumped the wire. No harm in trying a filter of a different brand. |
theres a problem with it being that high? I always thought the higher the better (to a point that is)
