oil injection line replacement
Hi,
I'm new to RX7 ownership and to this forum. I did some searches of the forum, but didn't find this addressed. I have a 87 that I got burning a quart of oil every 200 miles. I'm just completing the rebuild to replace the oil seals. The motor's back in the car but not yet running. I have a couple of broken oil injection lines. Is my only choice to buy them from someone like mazdatrix or can I buy suitable tubing and clamps and re-make my own using the existing fittings? Any guidance appreciated! Thanks Greg gerglandry@yahoo.com |
Garfinkle has made them from ss braided line, useing the stock bango fittings .He gave a set to Roterbrain who has the correct clamps . So yes it has been done . The draw back is that you can not see if the pump is working or not with out the clear lines . The ss lines do look very good .

Pay the $15 for each line - it's a small cost for a very important part.

OK, OK. but where are they 15 bucks? More like $22 at mazdatrix.

Yeow, I bought mines like 5 years ago - if the price went up that much, sorry for the misquote! -Ted |
