No injector pulse in my 1988 rx7.

Hey guys. I have a 88 rx7 that's not getting injector pulse at all. Just replaced the ecu and I'm still getting no pulse. I have spark and it runs when I spray ether down the throttle body. I have 12 volts at the injectors and at the pins at the ecu for the injectors. Cleaned off a bunch of ground connections and still no start. Any suggestions?

Which injectors are you checking for pulse? Only the primary injectors pulse when starting or idling the car. If you're checking the secondary injectors then it is proper to not detect a pulse. You can use an LED light to check for pulse at the ECU by placing one wire to pin 2I and the other wire to one of the primary injector pins and w/key to start the light should flicker.

I can only see two injectors on the engine. It's the regular 13b engine. And the two I can see are on top of the engine.

And that is precisely why you cannot get a pulse because those are the secondary injectors. If you want to check the primaries I suggest you do it at the ECU or pull off the upper manifold to access the primary injectors.

Ok. So say the injectors under the intake are getting pulse. What would be the reason that it is not starting? It will start when I spray ether in the throttle body. And it runs fairly good. Also getting good spark. And good fuel pressure

Why don't you check this possible problem w/the injectors first before moving on to other possibilities.
