Nitrous Injection into a Turbo FC

Has anyone done this and lived to tell the tale?

I'm thinking about doing it to my car but want to here some tales of victory first...

Im not sure what details you need to know before you can give me a defintate answer but let me know what you need to know cheers.

It's possible. But historically speaking if you have to ask about it we should soon be expecting to see a post titled "Where is the best place to get a rebuild?"

I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a racers budget for potential rebuilds.

Sweet thanks for that. :)

wouldn't it be best to just use the NOX to cool off the intake charge by cooling the intercooler. Colder air = more power and slightly higher boost.

DON'T GET GREEDY........... 50 "WET"SHOT MAX maybe even lower unless you can rebuild motors

50 is what im going to run. Wet and safe. After that I would look into an MSD retard box. Also, injectors, fuel pump etc. I think 50 is pretty much the limit on stock though.

My sev is highly modded. Surge tank 2* 1000cc and 2* 800cc injectors 550hp and 500hp intank walbough fuel pumps. I'm fairly certain running her lean isn't on the cards.

Is a wet 50 shot applicable with out to much risk????

If you look for a post by "Scatchart" I believe is his forum name, you can get a lot
Of good reliable and proven info on the subject, he's the authority when it comes to that.

He is very knowledgeable on the spray with rotaries. As "Slevin FD" mentioned above you can use the spray to cool the intercooler, which cools the intake charge, therefore reducing hot intake temps, which reduces your chances of detonation. I was going to run a 50" wet shot on my Turbo-II, but I decided against it for a number of reasons.

The spray is great if you’re running a bigger turbo like a T-78, or a T-88 series or any other big turbo to speed up the spool up time of the turbo. I see you already have bigger injectors, fuel pump, etc. I’m assuming you’re running an aftermarket "EMS" system? If so you can do a 50-125wet shot safely with some tuning time on a dyno with a wide band, obviously. If you’re obviously running the stock Afm I wouldn't run anything more than a 50 hp wet shot to be safe. Also using an MSD ignition box to make sure you’re getting good spark, some good quality plug wires, and also some cold spark plugs, and an MSD retard Box would be nice as well. There’s also a progressive nitrous controller where you can control the length
Of time the spray is engaged, or you can set it up based on gear, rpm, duration of time, etc.
Running high octane would be wise as well. I think if I was going to spray it would be methanol directly into the intake and intercooler. Do a search on the topic here it has been covered numerous times, Good Luck.

Hey, first off thanks a bunch for your help. I definatelty look into those guys threads and have a hunt around.

Secondly, I'll give you a bit more info on my set up. Im currently running a fairly larger turbo it not a T88 but its big enough for getting me from A to B faster than most other cars on the road. Its a GT45 Garrett. I dont run an AFM my intake system is simply a K&N filter slaped on the turbo inlet. Interms of ignition and timing I run Bosh GT500 Coils thru to 12mm Eagle lead onto NGK high plugs, Pt I think. And to run it all I have a Microtech LT-10s ECU + the X4 ignition box. I don't know what you guys call High Octane over there I hear some of you run your rotaries on around 90-92 RON!!! I run mine on 98 RON premix with out fail each and everytime. My good friend is a piolet so 100 RON Shell AVGAS is some times on the cards.... :D

But yea given that set up recomendations???
