new to rotaries(HELP???)

I just got a 93 rx7! I am very happy! I used to be the owner of a HONDA DEL SLOW!:wavey: I dont know much about rotaries and am need to know how to properly care for one! cause i dont want to kill such a nice car..

I just got mine not to long ago and from what i know is that the car has 75,000 miles on the body but only 700 miles on the new street ported engine in it. :wiggle:

-do i still need to break in my car because i took it for a ride the other day and honestly, i redlined it about 3-4 times:wink: , was it safe to do that ive only done that about 6 times ever...

-i drove it the other day also and every time i hit the gas the car would stumble around 3000 rpms??WTF?? and the engine check light came on, but i let the car only warm up for a brief second, later i turned the car on and let it warm up for about 7 mins. and didnt have that stumble??
am i supposed to let it warm up all the time if so how long??

-i let the car cool down for about 4-5 mins after short drive, is that safe?? whats recommended??

-also when, ive only gone to 2nd gear in my car ever, havent went past 2nd into 3rd...(i dont drive it much):boink: but in 2nd the boos gets only up to 7psi...8psi.. is that normal?? i believed that it was supposed to be 10-8-10??? is that only in 3rd gear that you get 10-8-10??

-also?? i cant think of anything else to ask but what should i do first to the car???

SORRY ABOUT THE LONG POST( JUST WANT TO BE SAFE)

Do not redline an engine with only 700mi. Check the web for a proper break in procedure.

actually i think the engine is a rebuilt, do you still need to break in a rebuilt engine??

Engine break-in

The reason you are breaking in the engine is BECAUSE it is rebuilt!!! So the answer is YES!!!
