Well.. i'm new here ot the forum, just thought id introduce myself, explain my project to come and my other toys...

Im CJ, live in Cleveland, OH(just moved back up here from Orlando, FL in july to finish my last yr of college) and just got a 89 RX that doesnt have a motor in it.
The auto tranny is still in it and i picked up a 13B non-turbo'd motor for cheap.

Right now.. I just got the car jacked up to pull the old tranny, gonna swap in this motor and get it driveable. Plans after that are to clean it up, new paint before winter and maybe start piece together parts to turbo the motor and change it to manual. This is going to be my daily for my other 2 projects

I hope you don't put some blingers and a crappy non LSx V8 in it.

i have a 13B non tubro'd motor ... dont worry not too much going into this car other then cleaning it up some and driving it into the ground... F150 is gonna be laying rockers on the ground on bigger rims :D

Holy shit, what the fuck happened to your pickup trucks?

Looks like someone managed to take the manliness out of an F-150 and make it a bitch mobile...I didn't even know that was possible!

Man trucks are more than 3 feet off the ground...

lol i love when people say that.. :lol: nice thing is at any hieght i ride it at.. rides like a dream, carrys as much or more weight in the bed then stock w/o sagging(rear is now rated at 5200lbs) and with the v8 its still got power.. also with the in take, exhaust, chip and shift kit in the AUTO tranny..

and the ranger is stick but gettin a 2.3T motor out of an old thunder coupe that i have waiting to be dropped in.

and when aired all the way up they are just about stock height.

ya i got the rx7 for free with the motor to put in and am not gonna let the f150 see salt(FL vehicle)

My dad owns a REAL "man" truck:

'05 F150 Base: 4.2Liter V-6, 5 speed, full length bed, bench seat, roll up windows, a tough as shit vynil floor, manual locks, CASSETE only stereo that was stolen, non tilt steering column, very bad material cloth bench seat that is the polar opposite of a lazyboy... the truck's has almost never been washed, enterior is dirty as hell, it's been neglected, abused, and torchured by 200 mile drives every other day, and most of all, it's been used for heavy work... for what trucks were built to do... the bitch still runs strong after 120,000 miles in 2 years and 5,000 mile oil changes... who said a Ford can't last? I say Chevy's can go suck on the 3 foot long shift lever! Thing's had better reliability than a Toyota!

I dont dig the low riders, but to the guy who said the trucks dont have balls: maybe the ones YOU saw dont, but take a look at the last picture.. what do you see on the very left??? Oh yeah!:tank:

well its kinda stupid to jack up a 2 wheel drive truck..

im not a big fan of the ranger but i like the lincoln grille on the 150

aside from the interiors I think those trucks look pretty good.
