new apex seal dimmensions
 

i know a 2mm apex seal is damn near 2mm thick, but how tall are the seals? meaning, as they wear, they will get shorter. i don't want to order new seals unless my existing ones are worn. they only have 8k miles on them and i've lost a lot of compression.

PS: without taking the motor apart, can i just poke my finger in the exhaust port and push on the seal to see if there is any pressure behind it? i mean, if there is next to no pressure then i'll know the seal is either worn or maybe the spring is broke. if there is a lot of pressure, then i guess the seal and spring are still good and i might be loosing compression somewhere else.

aww, come on, i'm sure there are a ton of you that have brand new apex seals about to go into a motor and you can't even measure them for me? sheesh

they doe wear down, but they shouldnt be on 8k unless your running super high revs

well, i've lost compression and i'm not sure if it's apex seals or side seals or what.
