Need Help. bad coolant seals

I hade notice white smoke coming out my exhaust when the car is warm and it smelled like coolant and a buddy told me i had a bad coolant seal and try alumaseal. The parts store didnt have alumaseal but it they had bars leak which is aluminum flake not copper. I put some in the rad cap and in the filler cap cause the rad was full. i started the car and about 2 min in coolant went everywhere. i thought it was cause the cap wasnt tight enough but it was. idk where the cooloant was leaking from. idk if the alumasael sealed something up or what. im gonna put more coolant in and see what is does but does anyone know where i should go from here???

i just put water in the radiator to see what happens and coolant/water was dripping out from under the car on the backside of the engine. does anyone know what is going on or any input would be awesome thank you josh..

i wonder when i put the alumaseal in the filler cap by the thermostat if it sealed the thermostat up?

Your first mistake was adding that garbage to your cooling system.

Fix it the right way.

With these cars there Is no bandade fix that is worth screwing up your engine. I would check pressurized the cooling system and check for leaks then flush that stuff out of there

yea i was just looiing for a temporary fix cause its my dd and im paying for a wedding thats 3 months away.

ok so i took my thermostat out to see if that did anything and coolant was still pouring out from underneath the car on the backside of the engine when i started it. I couldnt see anything from the top of the engine. is there a hose or something on the backside of the engine that could have came loose or undone?

im thinking a hose gave way cause there is no way a internal leak would o that its def. external and the car runs fine starts right up and everything so its gotta be a coolant hose or line that gave way when the system had pressure cause the car didnt have a thermostat and i just put one in

well just wanna say alumaseal has another satisfied customer. my heater core hose clamp was weak thats why coolant went everywhere and no more white smoke. also it runs 10x better. if your gonna rebuild it anyways miswell make it last a lil longer.

Hey, i wanted to get an update from you on how your fd is running. Still run good from using the alumaseal? Mine will overheat after driving it for 10mins, and bubbles when you take coolant cap off. no external leaks, no smoking from exhaust, i dont know what it is. If its a seal i was told it would smoke at least a lil from exhaust. So I have no clue. Wanted to see if you would still reccomend the alumaseal or if you have had any problems with i. LMK, thanks!

It might be a temp fix but that stuff is prolly isnt helping anything, its just prolonging the inevitable and probably making a mess of the inside of your cooling system.

Its probably like fix a flat, itll work only until
the problem gets worse and at that point it wont be able to do anything to stop it.

I.e. If its a very small leak itll be ok, but if its a big leak or worsens your up shits creak
without a paddle.

My last rx7 blew its coolant seals to tje point where it emptied out all the coolant after being topped off overnight, smoked like a banshee on startup and sputtered until all the coolant was burnt out (30 seconds)

i sold the car in disgust as i invested tons of $$ in it and only put 25k miles on the rebuild when they went.

Guy i sold it to claimed he fixed the problem, but there us no "fix" for permant internal seal failure, sure you can make it last longer but in my opinion youre better off fixing it the right way, not the cheap way thats really not fixing anything, its like putting a bandaid over a gash that needs stitches.
