NA or Turbo

What is better for a track car? I heard that NA has better reliability, but how bad is the Turbo? What can I expect from an FC S5 NA if I streetport it? Are there noticeable differences in the sound NA and Turbo makes except for noise from the Turbo charger? Which engine revs more freely and sounds more solid?

The best thing to do is take what you have to the track. There is so much you can do before you even need to consider engine mods. Tires and suspension will help you with lap times just as much as a boost in power, but it's more fun to squeeze every second out of a slow car than to be holding back all the time in a fast car.

Turbo cars on the track usually have lots of issues with temperature, they always run hot and so you end up spending a lot of your time just trying to keep the thing from blowing up.

non turbo cars usually just run forever and you spend most of your time trying to get it to handle.

sounding solid is not something that is a problem with a rotary...

What type of track are you wanting to race on? Road course or Drag Strip?

Another thing to look at, is what sanctioning body and class that you are looking to run your car in? I know at least for NASA, there are a lot of modification points you have to apply to your vehicle that will end up bumping you up in class pretty quick.
