N0_ob FD3S Owner Needs Answers!!!

Hey Guys i am completely new to the power of rotary having previously owned a Honda Civic which i sold to fully fund my Series 7 RB.

Anyway cut to the point. Now because i am so familiar with Honda engines which i can tell inside out i thought it would be a good idea to get something i dont know, it actually turns out i know basically nothing about turbo or rotary cars so i need help with this list of things :S

First off its a 96 Series 7 Type RB with a 13bTT if that helps

I need to know what is the normal oil temp & oil pressure also the normal water temp and engine temp for a rotor.

Also what is the standard boost a 13btt runs and how much can i pump it up on a stock engine before it becomes unsafe (it has a few top shelf mods like apexi filter setup blitz BOV and hks turb timer)

Also how many horsies crank out of the standard 13btt batty. (HP or KW)

AND what sort of oil is the best to run on a rotary (50w-20, 50w-10??) and how many km's will they last before they have to be rebuilt mines done 112,000

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, now i have heard talk about not doing any engine braking with any sort of rotor... YET on every car tuning doco they always do and they also tend to keep the revs respectively high while doing so. So is it bad to do this or a load of sh!t??

I think that should be it, ANY sort of answers will be greatly appreciated, as i get it out of the panel shop and on the road for the first time in New Zealand and dont wanna break my new toy.

One more thing if anyone else out there has anymore DO's & DONT'S i would love to hear them, and again i would love to personally thank anyone that can help me.

many of your questions will be answered by reading the FAQ's which are stickied in the 3rd Gen section. start there and read read read. there's a ton of info there so it will keep you busy for a while.

i'd suggest you start with the section about reliability mods. even if you don't plan to modify the car, these are a really good idea, and just reading about them will give you insight to some of the car's "weaknesses."

I factory service manual will answer many of your questions as well. Plus you will need it if you plan on working on it.
