N/A to T3 super60--HELP
I have a couple of questions about turboing a n/a engine
-should I get a turboII ecu? or will my stock unit work with an fmu and injectors? -where is the best place to tap an oil line in for the turbo? -where the hell can I mount a 22"x19"x4" intercooler? -Anyone have any tips for turboing a non-turbo car (ie- hints, tips, what works well?) -I don't want to spend a lot on coilovers, what would be the best springs and struts for a total drift set-up? Thanks to anyone that can help. My car 87 se, 5speed, getting a t3 super 60 and a crapload of suspension parts |
if you wanna turbo you n/a. you need alot of parts.
The n/a to turbo swap costs around $4000 turbo II engine turboi II tranny turbo II ecu turbo II afm Turbo II driveshaft Turbo Ii rear end Turbo II halftshafts Turbo II knock control box Turbo II fuel pump Turbo II alternater Turbo Ii starter alot more cna't think of them right now |
He's not talking about switching his car over to a TII. He's talking about putting a turbo ONTO his N/A engine.

T3 Super 60 is kinda small.
It'll barely make about 200hp, unless you crank the boost way up. -Ted |
The T3 super 60 has the same inducer diameter as the popular T3/T4 conversions.
Compressor spec.: 1.9" inducer, and .50 A/R. Turbine spec.: 2.26 exducer, and .63 A/R. I actaully thought the thing was pretty big, I'm used to working with IHI's, I was actually thinking it will make about 280 whp. Any suggestions other suggestions?? I appreciate any help guys. |

You need to drop the power output by 10% to 20% due to the higher BSFC on a rotary engine. -Ted |
hmm... see, I'm learning something new everyday! :bigthumb:
any ideas on a good place to tap for an oil line? I was thinking the oil pan, but I don't know if it will have enough pressure. |
