much colder and dino oil

would you say that a colder than stock thermostat would be beneficial for rotary? and what is a dino oil and is it good to run in a rotary? I NEED ANSWERS...

A factory Mazda stat is excellent; the others don't work very good at all. If you must run a cooler stat, then I'd make certain your cooling system is up to par; it may make it run cooler. Cooler is better, but remember that the car has to get to ~ 100c in order to run correctly; otherwise it'll be stuck in "warm-up" mode, burn really rich and generally not perform very well at all.

Any cetrified motor oil (Valvoline, Castrol, Pennzoil, ect....) will work just fine. Everyone has an opinion on motor oil; just remember that they all come from the earth and go through the same refining processes. Synthetics are another story entirely though. Personally, I'll run Castrol GTX HD30 (30-weght) or Valvoline 30wt. If you trully want the BEST oil out there, get Royal Purple. It's a synthetic and a lot of rotary-racing teams use it exclusively. It's pretty expensive though.

Hope that answers your questions

Matt
