mid-muffler recommendations

just thought i'd throw this out to see what kinda responses/recommendations i get. here goes:

i am looking to quiet down my 7 a bit. the current setup is a large streetport, 62-1 turbo, 3" DP all the way to the back straight thru muffler. yeah, its loud once i get past idle!!

i am going to get the entire exhaust redone and wanted to see what kind of mid-mufflers people are using without much loss, if any at all. i was looking into a magnaflow 18" center can also straight thru to tone it down a bit for in city driving.

lemme know what you guys out there are using, all recommendations welcome. thanks!!

i have a basic 18' resontor for my 3in mid pipe, also switch from a apex-i GT spec exhaust to a HKS dragger with a larger canister, it quite down a bit but is still loud, you really cant get high flow without the nose, esp with large street port turbo.

Most people use the Borla X1R or one of the Magnaflow mufflers. Might want to try searching as I believe there were some threads with sound clips and details of which muffler was used.

Got two 2.5" pipes each going in to there own glass packs and then ending up at a 4' custum built muffler with a removeable out dampener. And yes it still makes nose. dont have a pic of the muffler system but here is a pic of the engine
