Metering oil delete?
I purchased a second gen Mazda RX-7. The previous owner I bought it from told me he did a metering oil pump delete kit. And therefore I would have to mix 2-stroke oil with the gasoline for the motor to work properly. I wasn't sure what he was talking about so I did some researching and I haven't been able to find anything on this kit or running two-stroke oil through the motor because of the delete kit. Can someone give me information on if this is true or what I would need to do for my motor to run properly so I do not hurt it. Or would it be best to put it back to stock?

look up: premixing.
Basically it is 1 ounce of 2 stroke for every gallon of gas. For FC's that roughly equates to 16 ounces (one bottle) per tank. **woah!.. If you are in Cali and you require Emissions testing then that may be another story,...IF you can get away with some of the engine parts being missing then you may squeak by,.,The Premix will make the exhaust smell like lawnmower exhaust! |

Need to know the year of car

1986 mazda rx7 fc 1.3l 13b rotary. Manual MOP (metering oil pump). If the pump is not on the motor and someone didn't delete kit on it, would the car recognized that it is not on the motor and would not start? Are there any wires that need to be jumped or plugged into something?

86-88 were mechanical pumps, the car doesn't know or give 2 squats if its there or not running wise, its the 89-91 cars that are electric and have been causing havoc
You MUST have a blockoff plate on there or else you'd be spewing oil everywhere while its running. |
