Mds ignition

I have a 84 with a bridgeported engine. I'm trying to install a msd ignition. My question is if I'm using a msd 6al-2 for the leading can I use a regular msd 6al for the trailing?

The best thing to do is to run 1 MSD box direct fire on your leading and leave the trailing stock. You will need 1 additional coil. You can google or search on here for MSD direct fire for instructions. It is very easy and works great! I run mine like that on my rx3 and love it. I also run rx8 plugs in the leading with great results

so running direct fire with a single msd and leaving the trailing stock the 2 step will work. All the drag guys I know in Puerto Rico no one runs direct fire they just run two msd
