maybe this isnt 3G specific - LT storage question

First, my apologies if you saw my post on the 3rd gen specific question page. I'm not quite sure why I put it there... now my post...

Sorry, I went around reading quite abit of the stuff that's been posted, but I'm still a bit confused...

First my scenario. Due to some financial difficulties... my 93 RX7 will have to go into storage. There is no way in hell that I am going to sell her... and paying about $4000 a year in insurance... to drive her once every 2-3 weeks (if that :()... just doesn't make sense. So I took the insurance and registration off the car.. and she will have to go into storage until 1) I can garage her near me or 2) I can afford to pay that much insurance for the amt of driving.

Anyways... actually, before I go into questioning.. anyone here know if there is any way (in NY) you can get some breaks if you drive the car less than 1 or 2k miles a year? THink emissions should be done based on how much you drive hehe.

The car will be in a garage (not heated) but indoors... and I am not too worried about getting flat spots.

Most of the stuff I've found on the forums were about winter storage. I am not sure how long this will be... so my questions.

1) If I can have someone start the car, move it back and forth along the driveway once every 2 weeks or so... is that fine?

or

2) if it shouldn't be touched... I read some of the threads about draining coolant, replacing the oil (its new already), putting something in the gas tank etc... ANy thorough instructions on this?

its best to not let it sit for a long time as with most any vehicle. also you will need to buy some gas stabilizer and leave in a full tank to combat corrosion form water. you should get some break in insurance for owning multiple vehicles too. also depending on how much coverage you have on the car. you might think about selling until you can di yourself out of the financial setback. as hard and disappointing as it seems, there will be 3rd gens on the road for a while.
