May be a repost but I'm curious.

Has anyone seen this guys video? It seems to make sense. I would love to try the rotor idea by welding and milling out the pocket on a rotor. The spark plug idea seems neat as well. It will still lose compression but it seems like it mitigates it.

But I want to hear your thoughts. heck there's a wrecked fb with a 12a in the jy. I might go out and try it im pretty sure the motor is still good.

you must have missed the other two threads on this.
This guy is gonna get popular.

Wow, seems logical.

I wish I had access to proper machining tools. I would give it a go. I'm curious to see a back to back comparison. take a na s4 stock. Then these mods and leave everything else as is. Then dyno.

Can't see how the flame would propogate properly given such a small spark plug hole. It would also cause issues with cooling the plug.

However I do like the idea of an offset combustion chamber. It's logical enough that it would/should have been tried before... and if so there is a reason it wasn't put into the manufacturing dies. On reading the other posts, conjecture would be rotor balance.

Mazda tested offset combustion bowls on the 12A.

So im guessing it either didn't work or caused the main combustion to be too far ahead which raises egts and hydrocarbon emission...just my logical take on it. Id like to see this experimental one he supposedly built.

I'm pretty sure it didn't do anything, positive or negative.
All 12a's has the offset bowl and 86-now all the bowls in the rotors are centered.

Someone correct me if I am wrong please.
