Lucas HD oil stabilizer...effects?
I'm unsure of putting it in Lucy. ('90 NA) I've already put half the bottle in my mom's F-150, but the oil needs changing anyway and it already burns, can only improve.
I've heard about people putting the stuff in their RX-7s and oil-control-ring issues going away. (very attractive to me right now). But I want to know what the long term issues are with it, if any. I'm just skeptical of a product that so many people call a magic bullet, there has to be a downside or two. |
I've been using one quart with every oil change for about 60,000 miles now. I swear by it. I even started using their motor oil too now. I have not yet met a Lucas product that failed to perform as advertised.
Seafoam (in the gas tank) is also good every couple of months. :) . |
i have used the thick three ( lucas, moreys, true blue ) a few times in the past
with zero ill effects,, and as up to 50% concentrations in NA engines i have also used it in turbo engines though i stick to the recommended max of 30 % there to avoid potential to varnish the turbo oil galleries ( not that i have seen any noticeable residues on any of the engines or turbos pulled down after having been used thus ) it will cut down on cold start smoke,, and over run decel smoke ,, up to a point it has in the distant past allowed me to go 6- 12 months further on tired engines that were almost unmanageable for oil smoking i also use 1/3 moreys, 1/3 heavy gear oil and 1/3 tranny fluid blends my worn gearboxes - including a 12at box that survived many years behind 250 -350 rwhp turbo engines ( provided with careful launches ) PS i do not advocate any additive that is not 100% petroleum based that has residual particles in it |
yes iv seen a very less smoke issue and now that i found this ill be putting it in alot more thank you!!!
