love it or hate it?
How do you 13BREW guys feel about the new Renesis rotary? From everything I've read it is an amaizing machine. This motor feels like a natural evolution of a great design. I do understand it's a bit short on power from what you turbo guys are used to, but I feel with a small centrifugal supercharger (4-6psi) the power would be more than made up. I've heard the Mazdaspeed RX-8 will have a "punched-out" 1.5L renesis motor, but I feel this larger displacement motor with a small increase of boost (non-turbo) will rival anything on the market now. I'm so impressed with the rotary engine. The more I learn about it the more convinced I am that this is the wave of the future!

As long as they come out with a 4th gen RX7 I am happy with the RX8.

The problem with the rotary is that nobody wants to take the time to learn about it. Well that and emitions. People want economy and deffinately not change. The rotary has been around for a long time, and has always been comparitively amazing, but people started with pistions and don't want to give them up.
