looking for tips

i apologize beforehand if any of my question seems to make me lazy, i just really havent had the time between works to dig around and find my problem. and i was hoping someone that might have had the same problem would have some tips or inside info.

i've been getting some pretty bad hesitation during acceleration past 3k rpms, and the car has been leaking fuel from under the engine bay. i've been told it might be my fuel pump/leaky fuel injector/bad fuel line/partial vaccuum and fuel leak among other things. i'd just like to see if anyone else had this problem and knows which of these i should check first since i wont have very much time when i do get a chance to look at it.

any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated with track season around the corner. thanks very much for your time.

A bad pulsation dampner is the #1 cause of fuel leaks. Do not let this go as there have been way too many engine bay fires, not a pretty sight. This needs to be addressed immediately. As far as the hesitation, the secondary injectors come on line around 3600-3800 rpms. When that happens, the ecu cuts the pusle width to the primarys. If the secondary injectors are partially plugged, this could be the cause of your hesitation and they will clog sooner than the primarys sine they aren't in service as much as the primarys.

Whie you have the intake off looking for the fuel leak, send a 4 injectors out for service.

thanks very much for the quick reply, i'll tear into it this weekend and have the injectors serviced, i may just go ahead and upgrade the secondaries while its all apart. thanks a ton man

If you upgrade the secondarys, you will need some way to control the extra fuel if you're upsizing them. Check the 2nd gen section for recommendations.
