a little help for my poor ole rex?

i have an 83 rx, and she wont start.:wallbash: heres what i know, and i need help figuring out whats wrong (im not a good mechanic, and barely know anything about rotary's)

when i tried to crank it, fuel poured out the exhaust between the header and cat. hmmmm first clue.

i checked and i have spark.....er well i did when i had a brand new battery, which is now a paper weight lol

i checked compression, long since forgot the numbers but im pretty sure it was enough,...

personally (as well as a few other people i talked to) think that my carb may be messed up and dumping too much fuel. someone else told me that my apex seals may be screwed... but if that's true i wouldnt be getting enough (if any) compression.... or would i?

this car is really driving me up the wall and i would like to gt her running. any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks.

Apex seal failure you would see bad compression.

Try deflooding procedures.

i'm bumping this again. maybe someone knows something about it?

What were the results of the deflooding procedures?

How long did your carb sit? The floats may be stuck, thus letting the fuel pump push fuel straight into the carb and then into the intake = flooding.
