Little black box on O2 sensor

So there's this little block box, crappily wrapped in electrical tape, in line with the O2 sensor. Please don't tell me it's one of those "eBay speed chip" thingies...?

maybe someone is using a universal O2 that required a connector?
can you get a pic and post it up?

And I thought our O2 sensors were 1 wire. You wouldn't need the connector block for a single wire O2, would you???

I've seen some real crazy shit on here ..it could have been connected with an extension cord!!!
But yes,you are right..one wire.
That doesn't look like a stock exhaust,as the placement if the O2 is all wrong.
Just find the O2 wire on the car's harness, and attach it on to the O2..and get rid of that thing. It is not important.

Extension cord? Wow.

Yeah, I'm just gonna rip it out when I replace the O2.

Thx hommie...
