Leading spark issue

Well, I put it up in the Haltech forum, but maybe they don't know and maybe it isnt related to the Haltech directly.
ANYWAYS!
This is regarding the stock FC coils. While I'm cranking, the leading coil SPARKS right off the bat, cranks maybe 10 or so times and then sparks again.
Not sure if its my trigger wheel (Its an FD engine swap) or something else, but I cant really check and lock the timing when I get 1 spark ever 10 cranks.

Any ideas? I checked my wiring, and I put a different coil on.

clearly the haltech is not seeing the trigger or home so well

-- if it see's a random trigger pulse,, it will put out a sequence of sparks in the expected order,, and wait till it sees the home pulse to start the sequence again

( which clearly isnt happening ,, so then you next see a spark when the coil overloads and collaspes when you stop cranking )

its something to do with the polarity of the incoming home or trigger signals
( so that the trigger edge goes the correct way through the internal reluctor adapters )
or RFI noise from alt, starter or leads corrupting that signal
( ie,, needs the filter gain settings played with )

OR
-- its a common problem caused by the inherent polarity of the mazda coils wanting a reversed from the norm trigger edge output to make them work

ie
they want falling edge, constant charge, coil dwell time 3.25 - 3.75 ms

So the shitty wiring on my trigger and home wouldn't help, eh?
Im trying to scout out a used harness locally so I can fix them, but what you said makes a ton of sense, I was expecting the home or trigger to be the issue.
Thanks a lot! I was hoping for any answers and Im glad you gave a nice one
