intercooler piping problem

I just got a greddy intercooler piping upgrade kit. On the stock elbow, right before the throttle body there is a relatively large hose. It spits out a little oil. What should i do, plug it? do i have to customize the elbow and reconnect it somehow?

and what does it do exactly?

It is the AWS (Accelerated Warmup System) that runs the engine at a higher-than-idle RPM when you first start it up. It is intended to warmup the pre-cat quickly, but isn't good for the engine in terms of wear. It is perfectly fine to disable it if you aren't concerned about cold start emissions (few people are).

I suggest following the hose around to the metal pipe that comes out from the UIM by the firewall. Get one of those 5/8" or 3/4" (can't remember the right size) rubber heater core caps from the auto parts store. The brand name may be HELP! (that is the brand name, not a cry for help :)). Remove the rubber hose and put the cap on the metal pipe. Hold it in place with one of those worm-screw hose clamps.

thanks for the help. Does just having the hose disconnected affect my boost at all. could it be the reason for some boost problems, or is a pure warmup thing?

It is only a warm up thing.I would remove the hoses and use block off plates so it will look good on a good looking car.
