Inconsistent leading coil output

Hey all,

I was playing today and I put my timing light on my L1 wire. The light went about x fast and missed every once in a while. I put the timing on the L2 wire. The light went about 2x or so fast and purred like a kitten. Since they are siamesed, should they not be identical?

The only aftermarket coil I found with the same configuration as the stock leading is here...

I think I might try it. You all talk about how good the stock coils are, but with my CDI setup, I consistantly fry trailing coils, so having a leading that the two posts are not putting out an identical signal does not suprise me...

BTW I found out that the L and T coils have the same bolt pattern so my L coil is now attached to the T ignitor unit (so I could mount the MSD Blaster 2 coils I put on the T side upright) ...and did I mention the Blaster output is WAY smoother that the stock T coils and no arcing???

:)~ Jeremy

I figured something out... With my setup, I have to (on the E6A) set on the ignition page DIRECT FIRE. Every coil now fires properly. I was confused because everything I read told me to set it to Distributor. Anyways...
