Importing

Im wondering if it might not be cheaper to buy a new Jap RX7 than it would be to buy and rebuild 3rd gen from here in the US. I cant read Japanese so if anyone has any prices and any information could you please contact me.

Not sure what your asking, Im talking about importing the entier car, and new curent year model from japan as if Im not mistaken they just quit producing them there this year. or rebuilding a US RX7.

That sounds like an awful lot of trouble to import a car that's available here. You can't just import a car and expect it to be street legal. It has to be modified to meet US safety and emissions standards. That's a big reason why it's so expensive to import Skylines.

most of the cars that race in the gb3000 probably are not street legal in the US. I was looking for something that could hang with the big boys and still cost 1/2 what they do. One of the big guys will be a Zonda this year as well as 2 Ferrari F550's and a few Porche, all are being brought in from outside the US. It just seems like no mater what Im going to be looking at putting 20G into a car, wich is still at least 30G less than most of the cars.

You're better off spending all that money on getting a used US FD and rebuilding it.

Do you guy think it's possible to keep up with a zonda and ferrari and even possibly win the gumball?

vudoodoodoo 11-14-02 09:58 AM

:wtf:

I take that as a no? or do you not know what a zonda is? They arent to popular since they cost 350 pritish pounds
