Idle Proublem Please Help

My 91 Rx-7 convertible manual shift. Has a proublem..When you
turn on the A/C the idle fluxuates up and down some times as much as 4000 rpms, If you turn a/c on while driving then coming to a stop, ingauge clutch rpms drop real low and often goes dead.I have checked TPS it's set and OK. Timing is ok. Runs fine without a/c on. One thing a noticed was that the leading coil..
yellow mark on timming is top dead center with mark, but trailing coil..red mark is off two the right just a little. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it or not but Iam about to give up..I cant find anyone around here thats knows diddly about rx7. My next step is to change wires and plugs..Maybe? Anyone one please Help..........:(

The problem is it the by-pass air valve. It is located on the drivers side of the throttle body. It has an adjustment screw which is covered by a blind-cap. Play with the screw and see if it helps. If not, you will have to remove it and see if the valve is working. You will also need a new gasket after you clean it up because your original one will not be in one piece. Get it from mazdatrix.

To what I can tell the 91 doesnt have that valve at least it does'nt look like the one in the Haynes book, In the book when it speaks of this valve at says 86 thru 88 models only? Does say a thing about 91 models.?????

hmm......that's odd, cause mazdatrix has them listed for all years, upto 92, with a pic if that helps.
