How do I fix my hyper turn signal?

I have the damn hyper blinking turn signal. It is only the right turn that does it. I removed the relay from the CPU and took some digital photos hoping somebody here might know how to fix it. I am comfortable with replacing any part of the circuit board but I don't know which part is bad. I'd rather not spend $60 to get a new one. Here they are; any help would be greatly appreciated!

In most cars you just change the flasher.. I know that is how 1st gens are.. I doubt it is part of the ECU..

Not the ECU; the CPU. This is the flashing unit. Those two large pieces in the middle are what flap back and forth to make the light blink. I hooked it up and just layed it on the floor mat and watched it move. One of them would move nice and slow right in rythmn with the blinker but the other was wild and jumped around way to fast.

that means you dont have the right voltage in there. its probably too high.

Doesn't it mean you have a light bulb that's out...

In most cars, the front and rear turn signals shares the same current and when one goes out the reminding one will get all the power so that will flash super fast. Just replace the one the old blub and things will be back to normal.

You have just prooved my utter stupidity. I totaly forgot to check the front turn signal. I am an idiot.

But your initiative is certainly deserving of respect :)

So, what happened? Was it the bulb or what?
