How bad is stalling the engine?

I'm new to rotaries and driving stick. I'm still learning, and I tend to stall out going into my driveway (I have to go slow so I don't scrape) and starting on an incline. I've stalled a few times, but the car will start right up fine afterwards. Obviously stalling is bad (because the car turns off ;)), but is it really bad for the motor? Am I doing any damage?

-Thanks

Not really, you're just stopping the combustion process by slowing it too much - so there's no harm to be done there

OK. I just wasn't sure if I was messing anything up. Thanks.

no damage. The engine is not overcoming the weight of the car, so the weight of the car stops the engine. The weight is applied to the engine through the drive line (rear wheels, transmission and clutch). It doesn't cause any damage to a piston or rotary engine.

Good, because I still stall going into my driveway. I have to go super slow so I don't scrape (although i scraped like 6x already). :)

Thanks,

put some wood planks at the bottom of the drive way so you won't scrape. Careful not stalling when you pull out in the morning. It might cause flooding of your engine.
