Houston or surrounding areas help

Hello, my name is Jason, i have bought my first rotary. It is a FC n/a turbo build. Car was running great, then it wasn't.

A there anyone willing to help with my fc. I have read for weeks on the forums and have taken loads of advice and bought a bunch of new parts and my car still isn't acting proper. Maybe timing maybe tps. And also I have to push start it every time even with a new starter and alt. just bought a new ignition, should be here tomorrow. I need someone to come hang and help. I will pay but I'm not moneybags. The only two guys I know are too busy. I really don't want to trailer it to a shop because I want to be a part of the trouble shooting so I can learn. I came from a piston world so I feel like I have landed on another planet with extremely limited resources. If your willing to come share you knowledge and time, I will be forever in your debt.

First things first, you say you have to pull start it, have you checked compression? Sounds like its low, or a dead rotor, or both

Man I sure hope not. It has less than 1000 miles on it from an atkins rebuild but honestly I kind of feel like you may be right. I will do that this weekend.

Did atkins themselves rebuild it? If so, I would think theres a warranty. If not, almost all solid parts should be reusable, should only need o rings and soft seals

Yeah they built it. It has a atkins stamp and serial on it. I will do tests and if something is bad I'll send it up to em. But again, I hope it's something more simple. But like I said, this is totally new territory for me which is why I was asking if some rotary enthusiast could offer some help if there is someone near me. But I can do the compression test this weekend.

Do the compression test properly too btw, lots of threads on ho

But be forewarned, if the breakin wasn't done properly they probably won't honor the warranty, if its only got 1000 miles since the rebuild, its just barely after the breakin period
