Hot Start Problem. Any advice is appriciated.
My fd doesn't like to start up once the car is hot. The car will start fine when is cold, but after there is heat in the motor, and i try to start it, it will crank over trying to start but will not fire over until the car is running at about 160 degrees.
There is fuel pressure when we try to start the car after its hot. We've replaced:
Any advice is good advice at this point. Thanks guy. |
Anyone?

S4 or S5? If S5, will it start with the throttle to the floor while cranking? You may have a fuel injector leaking when shut off causing flooding or possibly have low compression, another problem that causes hot start issues.

I'm pretty sure he said fd. I'm not sure about the fd but it is probably like the s5 in the fact that if you hold the throttle to the floor it will turn off fuel allowing the car to start. You should check for A) Leaky Injectors and B) compression. Good luck.

do a compression test
